Who we are

This website presents Villa Morea, a private pool villa in Mournies, Chania, Crete (property registration no. 1252589), managed by Hotelyzer. Villa Morea is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at info@villamorea.gr or +30 210 300 2211.

What data we collect

When you browse the website we do not ask for any personal data. When you send the contact form we receive the details you enter: full name, phone, email, number of guests, arrival and departure dates and your message. When you contact us by email or phone we receive the details you choose to share. Our hosting provider also keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address, date and page visited) for security and to keep the website running.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

We use your enquiry details only to answer you, prepare an offer and organise your stay, which are steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. If you book, your data is kept for as long as required by Greek tax and accounting law. Technical logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Who receives your data

Your data is shared only with the service providers we need to run the website and answer you: our hosting provider, our email provider and Hotelyzer, which manages the property. Bookings made through the official booking engine (villamorea.hotelyzer.gr) are processed under the booking engine's own privacy policy.

Cookies, fonts and maps

This website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. All fonts are hosted on our own server. The Google Maps map is loaded only after you click “Show map”; from then on Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is loaded only when you start filling in the form; Google then receives technical data (such as IP address and browser information) and may set cookies to tell people from bots, under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. To exercise your rights, email info@villamorea.gr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
